Videos and metadata are downloaded or collected from open- and closed-sources

Process and Store

Videos and metadata are labeled, hashed, and packaged for archival storage

The provenance and basic information about each video is described in a catalog record

WHO ARE WE

The Rohingya Genocide Archive (RGA) is a Rohingya journalist and activist-led initiative to systematically collect visual media evidence of genocidal crimes and crimes against humanity perpetrated against the Rohingya. It was established in 2018 through a partnership between Rohingya Vision TV, a leading Rohingya-led media organization and WITNESS, an international non-profit organization that helps people use video and technology to protect and defend human rights.
